Maklaus was founded in 1995 By Giovanni Attucci. His initial goal was to:

DESIGN OPERATOR FRIENDLY AND SIMPLE MACHINES WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY AND PRODUCTIVITY.

Thanks to more than 30 years of commercial and technical experience in the Bag-Making machinery industry, one of Giovanni's first goals was to design an Automatic Rewinder for Stretch film. When on the market either semi automatic or highly sophisticated solutions were available, Giovanni took the challenge to design a simple and price competitive automatic solution.

The presentation of the first prototype initiated a vast demand all around the world. The concept of the new machine was highly appreciated in terms of productivity and efficiency mainly where semi automatic machinery was used.

As a consequence, the company initiated the production process by choosing high skilled sub suppliers for components and assembly.

In 1996 the company built the first SMART (Printing machine for Stretch Film) in order to satisfy a specific request of an Italian customer. Also in this case, the machine echoed a vast demand on the market.

In 1997 Moshe Feldman joined the company bringing his past experience in Hole punching equipment with the desire to design new concept of punches that will satisfy market needs in terms of new materials and higher productivity. Moshe's entrance was also necessary to boost the International sales.

From that point on, Maklaus widened its production range, productivity, personnel and markets.

2001 – The first RES-UNI

2005 – The first Pre-Stretch accessory.

2006 – New line of Punch Supporting structures RGT
