Electronic controls can work in an independent mode or in combination with input sensors. Maklaus offers a list of accessories to fit with the specific final application.

Encoder	Encoder is used to measure the advance of the material under the punching unit in order to define the precise punching distances. An encoder can either be mounted on the supporting structure equipped with a measuring wheel or coupled to a nip roller with a flexible joint.
Photocell	Photocell is a fundamental component when punching on printed film for synchronizing the pattern to the print. Our intelligent photocells are adjusted from the electronic control. The photocell is designed to be mounted on the supporting structure with a special adaptor.
Sensor	Sensor is being used when installing a punching unit on old model Bag – Making machines. It can be used to trigger the punching or to open a certain amount of length (bag length) in which the electronic control will trigger the punches at a pre-set frequency.
